Description
This webinar will cover the impact of the death of an individual on listed real property or pending real property transactions in three primary contexts. First, an individual owning real estate that is the subject of a listing or pending transaction. Second, a Trust owning real estate that is the subject of a listing or pending transaction. Finally, an LLC owning real estate that is subject to a listing or pending transaction. In addition, if time allows, we will cover the use and misuse, of Transfer on Death Deeds as well as the risks of "naked" co-ownership of real property without a governing document such as Tenants-In-Common Agreement. Attendees can expect to learn the use of probate, and alternatives to probate, when the owner of real property dies during the pendency of a transaction or listing. They can also expect to learn the types of Trusts and the impact of an individual's death when property is owned by a Trust as well as the impact of an individual's death when property is owned by an LLC.
